An Illustrated Journey through Japan

watercolour geisha

This past February I traveled to Japan with my partner. While we were there we explored beautiful Asakusa, a neighborhood of Tokyo that reminds one of Old Japan. We stayed at Sadachiyo, a traditional ryokan and explored the beautiful gardens and temples in the surrounding area.

These are some illustrations I did during our travels!

A geisha girl from the Tokyo National Museum. During my studies at the University of Oregon I took a class on Japanese Art History and love sketching Japanese Art.

I absolutely love love love Japan and wish I could have stayed there forever! There are so many cool areas to explore, foods to eat, and places to go.
